Our Services
At CLDC, we provide comprehensive evaluations and individualized therapy for toddlers, children, teens, and young adults with a wide range of developmental differences, such as autism, speech and motor delays, or sensory challenges.

Whether your child is needing early intervention support, is newly diagnosed, on a waitlist, or receiving support elsewhere, CLDC is here to be a supportive resource for your family every step of the way. Each service that we offer is grounded in the DIRFloortime model – a compassionate, relationship-based approach designed to respect your child’s unique way of experiencing the world.
We meet each child where they are developmentally, then build on their individual strengths, interests, and sensory needs to help them grow in communication, connection, and confidence
®
We believe therapy should feel safe, kind, and meaningful. It should also feel a lot like play because play is where real learning begins!
Our Approach
DIRFloortime® is a developmental approach that puts your child—and your relationship with them—at the center of their progress.
We focus on:
-
Understanding your child’s sensory needs
-
Building strong, trusting relationships between your child, your family, and our therapists
-
Supporting growth at your child’s pace
-
Encouraging communication through connection and joy
We build upon your child’s preferred activities to explore next steps in development that are natural. When your child feels safe and understood, they become more curious, more engaged, and more open to learning.
Services We Offer
At CLDC, we go beyond goals and checklists. We create a therapy experience that’s neurodiversity-affirming, respectful, and joyful for both children and parents. Every therapist on our team is deeply trained in the developmental model and committed to helping your child grow through meaningful connection.
Evaluations

Our comprehensive evaluations look at your child’s development across areas like: Speech and language Social communication Play and social interaction Motor skills Sensory regulation We use a mix of formal tools and informal measures to get a clear picture of your child’s strengths and areas needing support. Already have a recent evaluation (within the last 6 months)? We can work with it and build from there.
Speech and Language Therapy
We start our speech therapy journey together by meeting your child where they are. We seek to first uncover your child’s strengths and then follow their lead using their preferred activities to build on their speech and language capacities – helping them to learn and develop through a gentle, kind, and engaging approach. Our speech therapy may look like play, but what we’re actually doing is providing opportunities to relate and connect with others through words, language, gestures, facial expressions, and nonverbal cues that help your child recognize intentionality of speech and better understand the reasons for communicating.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy (OT) is really about sensory regulation. Without it, a dysregulated child can have challenges with their emotions and daily routines, may seek or avoid certain sensory activities, experience meltdowns or shutdowns, and more. Kids use more than just their five senses to receive information from their environment and process it in their body, of which these senses can be overactive or underactive – leading to challenges of just being as well as navigating the world. Our experienced Occupational Therapists uncover any sensory input challenges to guide your child to getting just the right input for what their body needs so they can stay regulated.
Feeding Therapy
If mealtimes are a source of stress, we’re here to help. Using the SOS Approach to Feeding, our therapists help children: Explore new foods at their own pace Build a positive relationship with eating Reduce anxiety around mealtimes Feeding therapy at CLDC is playful, child-led, and respectful of each child’s sensory and emotional needs.

Myofunctional Therapy
Myofunctional therapy is a specialized therapy that supports the muscles of the mouth and face to improve: Breathing Chewing and swallowing Speech patterns Jaw and facial development Our therapists use targeted, age-appropriate exercises that can make a big impact on your child’s overall health and communication.
Parent Coaching and Workshops
We believe parents are the most important people in a child’s life and the most influential partners in their therapy. Our Parent Coaching sessions offer: Simple strategies to use at home Updates and insights from therapy sessions Ongoing support from your child’s therapist One-to-one support for what YOU might be needing We also offer periodic Parent Workshops designed for caregivers to build confidence, community, and helpful skills for improving support for their child. Ask your therapist about joining a Parent Workshop waitlist.
Connection and understanding is at the heart of everything we do.
